Andi Mortenson, Principal & Art Director                                                 

Andi Mortenson has over ten years experience in graphic design – print design and branding as well as web design and creative concept strategy. This includes experience with a design firm, a senior position in the Vancouver Canucks in-house team, contract work at VANOC, and over seven years of running a graphic design business. A few current clients include the Rick Hansen Foundation, The Vancouver Giants, The Vancouver Canucks, The Loden Hotel and Vancouver Theatresports.

Andi helped manage the overall direction of the Canucks brand, and developed an in-depth graphic standards manual. High profile pieces have included full bus wrap designs, skytrains, season ticket booklets, playoff designs, and collateral for many of the charity events benefitting the Canucks for Kids Fund including Dice & Ice, Jake Milford Golf Tournament and Sport Celebrities Festival. 

Working on-site with the in-house team at VANOC, Andi offered design and production support on a wide variety of projects relating to the games including Torch Relay, volunteer communication, mascots, paralympics, ticketing, venues, education and Whistler Legacies. Closer to games time she worked on-site in the Cultural Olympiad department to design event programs, brochures, signage, art catalogues, invites and posters and various pieces for Code Live.

With both a personal and professional interest in sports, Andi specializes in brand development and design for this industry. She works through the full process from concept to completion for applications such as websites, brochures, invitations, publications, audio/visual statics, bus/vehicle wrap design, packaging design, clothing graphics, environmental graphics, awnings and way-finding. 

This experience contributes to a professional network that Epic Design works closely with – this includes other designers, web programmers, photographers, production artists, printers, writers, public relations and marketing specialists. This ensures that all aspects of a project are done professionally and on time.
